Matt Stevenson

As Chief Operating Officer, Matt plays a pivotal role in advancing Oakmont’s mission, values, and strategic vision. Working closely with executive leadership and ownership partners, he helps shape growth strategies and forges key relationships that fuel the organization’s continued success.

Since joining Oakmont in 2018, Matt has been instrumental in driving expansion and operational excellence. His leadership is grounded in extensive industry experience and a proven track record of managing senior living communities across the country. He brings comprehensive expertise in sales and marketing, operations, financial strategy, new development, and technology integration.

In addition to his operational leadership, Matt is deeply engaged in industry advocacy and workforce development at the state and national levels. An active member of both the California Assisted Living Association (CALA) and the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA), he works to educate legislators and key influencers on the vital role of senior housing. Committed to elevating awareness of the industry’s career potential, Matt passionately supports efforts to cultivate the next generation of senior living professionals through education, mentorship, and leadership development.

Matt holds an MA in Long-term Care Administration from the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology as well as a BA in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino.

A devoted father of two daughters, Matt brings the same commitment and intentionality to their swim meets, dance recitals, and soccer games—where he serves as coach—as he does to his professional leadership.
